Eyebrows
You only need look at iconic images of Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Bridgette Bardot to see that eyebrows are the key to creating a frame, a focus, structure and a polished finish to a make up look.
My advice to you is to get them threaded and if you have fair eyebrows while you are there have your eyebrows tinted too for more definition. With perfectly groomed eyebrows you can often get away with powder, mascara and a slick of gloss and look naturally beautiful.
Facials
Having received and performed many facials over the last decade, I still think the results driven ‘Guinot Hydradermie’ facial is the best for deep cleansing results.
The Sun
Sunbeds age you, Sunbathing ages you. The most wrinkled ladies I have given treatments to have over done it in the sun during their lifetime. However, you may notice in the winter months in the UK your skin can become grey/sallow/tired looking and that is because we need vitamin D from the sunlight, so be careful but make sure you see sunlight as much as possible.
Wear a Jane Iredale Pure pressed Base and you have got a natural SPF to protect your skin throughout the day.
The key is don’t burn, so less is more! Less sun, more youthful skin!
Water
So boring yet so effective! it does work- fact. The best my skin ever looked was following a one week holiday with a little bit of sun (vitamin D) and lots and lots of water during the day.
Your skin will feel smoother, fine lines caused by dehydration will plump out and your make up will go on even better.
I always advise my brides to ‘go for it on the water front’ in the days leading up to the wedding and their skin always looks better than the trial run.
Toners
Be aware! there are toners on the market with a pH that will strip your skin of your oil and moisture, the most de-hydrated skin I have touched has always been using a stripping toner. Eliminate it, step up the water in your diet and watch as your skin transforms.
Under Surface Skin bumps
Investigate your skin care and make up for Mineral oil. Mineral oil can create a suffocating effect on the by leaving a barrier on the skin. This can result in breakouts, under surface bumps and milia (little white hard spots) because your skin cannot function normally by sweating and producing oil.
